Subject: Complaint regarding alleged corruption and deliberate inaction by BMC E ward officials in illegal construction matter
Respected Sir/Madam,
I hereby wish to lodge a formal complaint regarding suspected corruption and deliberate inaction by officials of the (BMC) in connection with an illegal construction case.
The property located at:
24, Bori Chawl, Kamatipura, 12th Lane, Madhu Palace Guest House, 2nd Floor, Mumbai
is undergoing/has undergone unauthorized construction without valid permission from BMC.
It is on record that the concerned ward office issued a Stop Work Notice in December 2025. However, despite this, no effective demolition or enforcement action has been taken till date, which raises serious suspicion of collusion, bribery, or misuse of official position by concerned officers.
There are strong reasons to believe that certain officials, including the officer handling the matter (reported as Mr. Ranjit Chauhan), may have willfully ignored violations and failed to perform their statutory duties.
Such conduct, if proven, amounts to corruption, abuse of power, and dereliction of duty, adversely affecting public safety and rule of law.
I request your office to:
Conduct a detailed investigation into the role of concerned BMC officials
Verify any financial or other undue benefits received by them
Take appropriate legal action under relevant anti-corruption laws
Ensure immediate enforcement action against the illegal construction
Provide protection to the complainant, if required
I am willing to cooperate with the investigation and provide supporting documents, photographs, or further information as needed.
I request that this complaint be treated with urgency and seriousness.
