Gangster Chhota Shakeel's Brother-in-Law, Arif Abubakar Shaikh, Dies in Custody

Arif Abubakar Shaikh, brother-in-law of notorious gangster Chhota Shakeel, passed away on Friday evening. The 59-year-old, also known as Arif Bhaijan, was serving time in jail when he experienced a sudden onset of chest pain. He was promptly taken to Mumbai's JJ Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Shaikh's family expressed their anguish and frustration over the circumstances surrounding his death. "We were not allowed to meet him," a family member stated. "After some time, we were told that he had died, and the body was taken for postmortem. Since it was night, the doctors informed us that the postmortem would be conducted in the morning, and only then would the body be handed over to us."

Authorities have not yet released details regarding the exact cause of death, pending the results of the postmortem examination. Shaikh's death in custody has raised questions and concerns among his family and the public, prompting calls for a thorough investigation.
