गिरगावातील आंग्रेवाडी आणि बदामवाडीच्या पुनर्विकासाच्या दीर्घकाळ प्रलंबित मुद्यासंदर्भात आज माननीय केंद्रीय अर्थमंत्री श्रीमती निर्मला सीतारामन जी यांची भेट घेऊन त्यांना सविस्तर निवेदन दिले.

सदर इमारती मूळच्या एलआयसीने (LIC) बांधलेल्या नाहीत. तांत्रिक कारणांमुळे एलआयसीकडे यांची मालकी आली आहे. असे असताना, पुनर्विकासाला गती देण्याऐवजी एलआयसीने अधिकृत रहिवाशांनाच घराबाहेर काढण्याच्या नोटिसा बजावणे हे अन्यायकारक आहे.

या विषयावर मी संसदेत आणि एलआयसी अध्यक्षांकडे देखील सातत्याने पाठपुरावा केला आहे. प्रत्येक नागरिकाला 'पक्के घर' देण्याचे पंतप्रधान महोदयांचे आश्वासन असताना, सरकारी संस्थांनी अधिक जबाबदारीने वागण्याची आवश्यकता आहे.

या इमारती अत्यंत धोकादायक झाल्या असून, रहिवाशांना न्याय मिळवून देण्यासाठी मी खालील मागण्या केल्या आहेत:

- रहिवाशांवरील कारवाई थांबवून यावर मानवी दृष्टिकोनातून मार्ग काढावा.

- स्वयंपुनर्विकास किंवा म्हाडाच्या माध्यमातून पुनर्विकासाची परवानगी द्यावी.

आदरणीय मंत्री श्रीमती निर्मला सीतारामन जी यांनी यावर सकारात्मक विचार करण्याचे आश्वासन दिले आहे.

---Met Hon'ble Finance Minister Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman ji today regarding the urgent redevelopment of Angrewadi and Badamwadi in Girgaon, South Mumbai.

These buildings were not constructed by LIC; however, owing to historical and legal circumstances, LIC has become the owner by default. Yet, they are now issuing arbitrary eviction notices to long-standing  lawful tenants instead of facilitating  redevelopment

I have raised this issue repeatedly in Parliament and with the LIC Chairman. In line with the Hon’ble PM vision of a Pakka Ghar  for all,  public sector institutions  must act responsibly when lives are at stake. As both structures are structurally unsafe, I have requested urgent ministerial intervention to:

- Stop coercive evictions and ensure a humane resolution.

- Permit redevelopment by the residents themselves or through MHADA/Maharashtra Heritage Development Authority.

Hon'ble Minister Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman ji has responded positively to my request.
