Mumbai Mayor Ritu Tawde Unveils 21-Point, 100-Day Action Plan On Women's Day, Focus On Infrastructure And Transparency
Mumbai Mayor Ritu Tawde on Sunday released her 100-day priority action plan, a roadmap designed to strengthen governance, upgrade infrastructure, and elevate citizen services across Mumbai.
Announced on International Women's Day 2026, the plan outlines 21 key civic projects.
Several initiatives are already in motion. These include municipal procurement through the GeM portal, 100% drain cleaning ahead of the monsoon, and community-level cleanliness competitions.
The Brimstowad II project, developed with guidance from experts at Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, is tackling waterlogging, while urban hawking committees and QR-coded licenses for street vendors are modernizing informal sector regulation.
Public health and infrastructure measures include the HPV vaccination drive for 14-year-old girls, construction of entry gates connecting Mumbai and Navi Mumbai, and facilitating an Asiatic lion from Gujarat for the Veermata Jijabai Bhosale Udyan and Zoo.
Additional priorities include roadwork with utility corridors, improving air quality, enhancing street lighting, optimizing parking, launching the Mayor Gen Next Internship Program, upgrading civic hospitals and schools to international standards, supporting women with interest-free loans, building multiplexes for Marathi films, and ensuring sustainable BEST services.

मुंबई की मेयर रितु तावड़े ने रविवार को अपनी 100 दिवसीय प्राथमिकता कार्य योजना जारी की, जो मुंबई भर में शासन को मजबूत करने, बुनियादी ढांचे को उन्नत करने और नागरिक सेवाओं को बेहतर बनाने के लिए तैयार की गई एक रोडमैप है।
अंतर्राष्ट्रीय महिला दिवस 2026 के अवसर पर घोषित इस योजना में 21 प्रमुख नागरिक परियोजनाओं की रूपरेखा दी गई है।
खरीद में पारदर्शिता
कई पहलें पहले से ही चल रही हैं। इनमें GeM पोर्टल के माध्यम से नगरपालिका खरीद, मानसून से पहले 100% नालियों की सफाई और सामुदायिक स्तर पर स्वच्छता प्रतियोगिताएं शामिल हैं।
भारतीय प्रौद्योगिकी संस्थान बॉम्बे के विशेषज्ञों के मार्गदर्शन में विकसित ब्रिमस्टोवाड II परियोजना जलभराव की समस्या से निपट रही है, जबकि शहरी फेरीवालों की समितियां और स्ट्रीट वेंडरों के लिए क्यूआर-कोड लाइसेंस अनौपचारिक क्षेत्र के नियमों का आधुनिकीकरण कर रहे हैं।
जन स्वास्थ्य और अवसंरचना संबंधी उपायों में 14 वर्षीय लड़कियों के लिए एचपीवी टीकाकरण अभियान, मुंबई और नवी मुंबई को जोड़ने वाले प्रवेश द्वारों का निर्माण और वीरमाता जिजाबाई भोसले उद्यान और चिड़ियाघर के लिए गुजरात से एक एशियाई शेर की स्थापना शामिल है।
अन्य प्राथमिकताओं में उपयोगिता गलियारों के साथ सड़क निर्माण, वायु गुणवत्ता में सुधार, स्ट्रीट लाइटिंग को बढ़ाना, पार्किंग व्यवस्था को सुव्यवस्थित करना, मेयर जेन नेक्स्ट इंटर्नशिप कार्यक्रम शुरू करना, नागरिक अस्पतालों और स्कूलों को अंतरराष्ट्रीय मानकों के अनुरूप उन्नत बनाना, महिलाओं को ब्याज मुक्त ऋण सहायता प्रदान करना, मराठी फिल्मों के लिए मल्टीप्लेक्स का निर्माण और सतत बेस्ट सेवाओं को सुनिश्चित करना शामिल है।
मेयर तावड़े ने कहा, "हमारा प्रशासन मुंबई निवासियों की आकांक्षाओं को पूरा करने के लिए पारदर्शिता, सक्रियता और नागरिक-केंद्रित शासन के लिए प्रतिबद्ध है।"
