 Fugitive Underworld Don Dawood Ibrahim's Ancestral Plots In Ratnagiri Finally Find A Buyer

Mumbai: Multiple ancestral properties linked to fugitive  underworld  don Dawood Ibrahim have found a prospective buyer in a recent government-mandated  auction  held on  March 5 with a Mumbai- based bidder emerging as the highest bidder for all four   agricultural  land parcels in  Ratnagiri district .

The Properties were auctioned by the Centre under the  Smugglers  and Foreign  Exchange  Manipulators (Forfeiture of Property) Act (SAFEMA), marking a significant step in the long-pending disposal of assets linked to the Kaskar family.

A Notice issued by the competent authority under SAFEMA had listed four agricultural land parcels located in Mumbake village in Khed taluka of Ratnagiri, the native place of Dawood. Several of these properties were originally registered in the name of his mother, Amina Bi, officials said.

Officials added that the Mumbai-based bidder, whose identity has not been formally disclosed, is required to complete the payment by early April 2026 in accordance with auction norms.

The transaction will be subject to final confirmation by the competent authority, following which the forfeiture and disposal process for the Ratnagiri cluster is expected to be concluded.

The March 5 auction follows an earlier attempt in November 2025 that failed to attract any bidders despite a reduction of nearly 30% in reserve prices.

One of the key parcels, survey no. 442 (Hissa No.13-B) with a reserve price of Rs9.41 lakhs was auctioned for over Rs10 lakh, the highest bid.

Two bidders participated for this property, including the Mumbai-based bidder who went on to secure all four parcels, and another bidder from Ratnagiri.

The remaining three agricultural land parcels, including survey nos. 533, 453 (Hissa No. 13-B), and 617 (Hissa No. 13-B), with reserve prices ranging from Rs15,440 to over Rs8 lakh, saw only one bidder, who went on to win the bids.

Officials said all four properties belonging to the underworld don were auctioned off by SAFEMA.

मुंबई: भगोड़े डॉन दाऊद इब्राहिम से जुड़ी कई पैतृक संपत्तियों को हाल ही में 5 मार्च को सरकार द्वारा अनिवार्य नीलामी में संभावित खरीदार मिल गया है। मुंबई स्थित एक बोलीदाता ने रत्नागिरी जिले में स्थित सभी चार कृषि भूमि भूखंडों के लिए उच्चतम बोली लगाई।

केंद्र सरकार ने इन संपत्तियों की नीलामी तस्कर और विदेशी मुद्रा हेरफेरकर्ता (संपत्ति की जब्ती) अधिनियम (SAFEMA) के तहत की, जो कास्कर परिवार से जुड़ी संपत्तियों के लंबे समय से लंबित निपटान में एक महत्वपूर्ण कदम है।

SAFEMA के तहत सक्षम प्राधिकारी द्वारा जारी एक नोटिस में रत्नागिरी के खेड़ तालुका के मुंबाके गांव में स्थित चार कृषि भूमि भूखंडों को सूचीबद्ध किया गया था, जो दाऊद का पैतृक स्थान है। अधिकारियों ने बताया कि इनमें से कई संपत्तियां मूल रूप से उसकी मां अमीना बी के नाम पर पंजीकृत थीं।

  अधिकारियों ने बताया कि मुंबई स्थित बोलीदाता, जिसकी पहचान अभी तक औपचारिक रूप से उजागर नहीं की गई है, को नीलामी के नियमों के अनुसार अप्रैल 2026 की शुरुआत तक भुगतान पूरा करना होगा।

यह लेन-देन सक्षम प्राधिकारी द्वारा अंतिम पुष्टि के अधीन होगा, जिसके बाद रत्नागिरी क्लस्टर के लिए ज़ब्ती और निपटान प्रक्रिया पूरी होने की उम्मीद है।

5 मार्च की नीलामी नवंबर 2025 में किए गए एक पिछले प्रयास के बाद हुई, जो आरक्षित मूल्य में लगभग 30% की कमी के बावजूद किसी भी बोलीदाता को आकर्षित करने में विफल रहा।

प्रमुख भूखंडों में से एक, सर्वेक्षण संख्या 442 (हिस्सा संख्या 13-बी), जिसका आरक्षित मूल्य 9.41 लाख रुपये था, 10 लाख रुपये से अधिक की उच्चतम बोली पर नीलाम हुआ।

इस संपत्ति के लिए दो बोलीदाताओं ने भाग लिया, जिनमें मुंबई स्थित बोलीदाता भी शामिल था, जिसने सभी चार भूखंड हासिल किए, और रत्नागिरी का एक अन्य बोलीदाता भी शामिल था।

शेष तीन कृषि भूमि भूखंड, जिनमें सर्वेक्षण संख्याएँ शामिल हैं...  533, 453 (हिस्सा संख्या 13-बी) और 617 (हिस्सा संख्या 13-बी) संपत्तियों के लिए आरक्षित मूल्य 15,440 रुपये से लेकर 8 लाख रुपये से अधिक तक था, लेकिन केवल एक ही बोलीदाता ने इन्हें खरीद लिया।

अधिकारियों ने बताया कि अंडरवर्ल्ड डॉन की ये चारों संपत्तियां SAFEMA द्वारा नीलाम की गईं।

अधिकारी ने पुष्टि की कि पिछले एक दशक में इन संपत्तियों को कई बार नीलामी के लिए रखा गया है, जिनमें उल्लेखनीय नीलामी भी शामिल हैं।
