   Lift Accident At Naigaon Housing Tower: Advocate Injured, Police Inaction Alleged

Palghar, April 15, 2026: A Serious lift Malfunction incident has been Reported from a Residential tower on Juchandra Road in Naigaon East, Vasai, raising Concerns over Safety Standards and alleged inaction by Authorities.

The incident occurred on April 2, 2026, at Suntek Mexworld Tower, Where Advocate Shruti Leena Batra Reportedly Met With an Accident while using the building’s lift.

According to Available information, Batra had boarded the lift to reach the 23rd floor.

The lift functioned Normally until the 14th floor, after which it Suddenly Plunged to the Ground floor.

During the fall, Batra Allegedly Attempted to Contact her Mother, but there was no Network Connectivity inside the lift.

The lift ultimately Crashed to the Ground floor, following which building security Personnel Managed to open the doors and rescue her.

Despite the traumatic incident, Batra Continued with her Scheduled Official Work and travelled to Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC).

However, While Returning home later, She began Experiencing Severe Pain in her Neck and Spine.

She Subsequently Sought Medical treatment at Accord Hospital in Mira Road, Where She Was Admitted for further Care.

The Matter Was Reported to the Naigaon Vasai East Police Station, Where An FIR (No. 0322/2026) was Registered.

However, Allegations have Surfaced that no Concrete Action has been taken by the Police Against those Responsible for the incident.

Sources Claim that the developer, M/s Suntek Mexworld, and the lift Maintenance Company, Otis Elevator, are Responsible for the Safety lapse.

Despite the Seriousness of the incident, no action has Reportedly been initiated Against Either Party So far.

The incident has Sparked concern among Residents and Raised questions About lift Maintenance, safety Protocols, and accountability in Residential Complexes across the region.

पालघर, 15 अप्रैल, 2026: वसई के नाइगांव पूर्व में जुचंद्र रोड स्थित एक आवासीय टावर में लिफ्ट में गंभीर खराबी की घटना सामने आई है, जिससे सुरक्षा मानकों और अधिकारियों की कथित निष्क्रियता पर चिंताएं बढ़ गई हैं।

यह घटना 2 अप्रैल, 2026 को सनटेक मेक्सवर्ल्ड टावर में हुई, जहां वकील श्रुति लीना बत्रा कथित तौर पर इमारत की लिफ्ट का उपयोग करते समय दुर्घटना का शिकार हो गईं।

उपलब्ध जानकारी के अनुसार, बत्रा 23वीं मंजिल पर जाने के लिए लिफ्ट में सवार हुई थीं।

लिफ्ट 14वीं मंजिल तक सामान्य रूप से चली, जिसके बाद वह अचानक भूतल पर गिर गई।

गिरने के दौरान, बत्रा ने कथित तौर पर अपनी मां से संपर्क करने का प्रयास किया, लेकिन लिफ्ट के अंदर नेटवर्क कनेक्टिविटी नहीं थी।

अंततः लिफ्ट भूतल पर गिर गई, जिसके बाद इमारत के सुरक्षा कर्मियों ने दरवाजे खोलकर उन्हें बचाया।

 इस दर्दनाक घटना के बावजूद, बत्रा ने अपना निर्धारित आधिकारिक कार्य जारी रखा और बांद्रा कुर्ला कॉम्प्लेक्स (बीकेसी) गईं।

हालांकि, बाद में घर लौटते समय, उन्हें गर्दन और रीढ़ की हड्डी में तेज दर्द होने लगा।

इसके बाद उन्होंने मीरा रोड स्थित अकॉर्ड अस्पताल में चिकित्सा सहायता ली, जहां उन्हें आगे के इलाज के लिए भर्ती कराया गया।

मामले की सूचना नाइगांव वसई ईस्ट पुलिस स्टेशन को दी गई, जहां एफआईआर (संख्या 0322/2026) दर्ज की गई।

हालांकि, आरोप सामने आए हैं कि पुलिस ने घटना के लिए जिम्मेदार लोगों के खिलाफ कोई ठोस कार्रवाई नहीं की है।

सूत्रों का दावा है कि डेवलपर, मेसर्स सनटेक मेक्सवर्ल्ड, और लिफ्ट रखरखाव कंपनी, ओटिस एलिवेटर, सुरक्षा में हुई चूक के लिए जिम्मेदार हैं।

घटना की गंभीरता के बावजूद, अब तक किसी भी पक्ष के खिलाफ कोई कार्रवाई शुरू नहीं की गई है।

 इस घटना ने निवासियों के बीच चिंता पैदा कर दी है और पूरे क्षेत्र के आवासीय परिसरों में लिफ्ट के रखरखाव, सुरक्षा प्रोटोकॉल और जवाबदेही के बारे में सवाल खड़े कर दिए हैं।
