BMC Chief Ashwini Bhide Conducts Surprise Inspections Across South Mumbai, Reviews Pest Control & Monsoon Preparedness

Mumbai: Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation Commissioner Ashwini Bhide on Wednesday carried out a surprise inspection across several civic facilities, police stations, pumping stations and municipal establishments in south Mumbai as part of a review of public services, pest control systems and monsoon preparedness measures. 

The inspection covered locations in the city division’s A, C and D wards, along with parts of the G South ward.

In the A ward, Bhide visited Mumbai’s nearly 100-year-old pesticide control station located on Mint Road, along with the A-2 road repair and storage station and a sewage disposal station. 

In the C ward, she inspected the road repair and storage station as well as a student study room at S.K. Patil Garden on Kamalbai Girls’ School Road.

In the D ward, the Commissioner reviewed facilities at Nana Chowk and a pesticide station, while in the G South ward she inspected the crucial Love Grove Stormwater Pumping Station in Worli, which plays a key role in preventing flooding during the monsoon season.

During the visit, Bhide closely examined various machines and equipment used for pesticide and rodent control operations. 

Officials and staff members demonstrated the functioning of the equipment, following which the Commissioner reviewed the overall operations at the facilities.

She also checked staff attendance registers and inspected administrative functioning at the stations. 

Bhide interacted directly with employees, sanitation workers, pest control staff and local citizens during the inspection tour and listened to their concerns and operational challenges.

The Commissioner instructed civic officials to treat complaints received through the MARG (Management and Redressal of Grievances) application with utmost seriousness and ensure immediate resolution of issues raised by citizens. 

 She also stressed that officers and employees should work proactively and take personal initiative .

 मुंबई: बृहन्मुंबई नगर निगम (बीएमसी) की आयुक्त अश्विनी भिडे ने बुधवार को दक्षिण मुंबई में कई नागरिक सुविधाओं, पुलिस स्टेशनों, पंपिंग स्टेशनों और नगर निगम प्रतिष्ठानों का अचानक निरीक्षण किया। यह निरीक्षण सार्वजनिक सेवाओं, कीट नियंत्रण प्रणालियों और मानसून की तैयारियों की समीक्षा के अंतर्गत किया गया।

 निरीक्षण में शहर के ए, सी और डी वार्डों के साथ-साथ जी साउथ वार्ड के कुछ हिस्से शामिल थे।

 भिडे ने कीटनाशक स्टेशनों और सीवेज निपटान स्टेशनों का दौरा किया; कार्यों की समीक्षा की

ए वार्ड में, भिडे ने मिंट रोड पर स्थित मुंबई के लगभग 100 साल पुराने कीटनाशक नियंत्रण स्टेशन, ए-2 सड़क मरम्मत और भंडारण स्टेशन और एक सीवेज निपटान स्टेशन का दौरा किया।

 सी वार्ड में, उन्होंने सड़क मरम्मत और भंडारण स्टेशन के साथ-साथ एस.के.  कमलबाई गर्ल्स स्कूल रोड पर स्थित पाटिल गार्डन।

 डी वार्ड में, आयुक्त ने नाना चौक और एक कीटनाशक केंद्र की सुविधाओं का जायजा लिया, जबकि जी साउथ वार्ड में उन्होंने वर्ली स्थित महत्वपूर्ण लव ग्रोव स्टॉर्मवॉटर पंपिंग स्टेशन का निरीक्षण किया, जो मानसून के मौसम में बाढ़ को रोकने में अहम भूमिका निभाता है।

 दौरे के दौरान, भीडे ने कीटनाशक और चूहा नियंत्रण कार्यों में इस्तेमाल होने वाली विभिन्न मशीनों और उपकरणों का बारीकी से निरीक्षण किया।

 अधिकारियों और कर्मचारियों ने उपकरणों के कामकाज का प्रदर्शन किया, जिसके बाद आयुक्त ने सुविधाओं पर समग्र संचालन की समीक्षा की।

 बीएमसी प्रमुख ने कार्य केंद्रों पर कर्मचारियों की उपस्थिति की जाँच की

 उन्होंने कर्मचारियों की उपस्थिति रजिस्टर की भी जाँच की और केंद्रों पर प्रशासनिक कामकाज का निरीक्षण किया।

 भिडे ने निरीक्षण दौरे के दौरान कर्मचारियों, सफाईकर्मियों, कीट नियंत्रण कर्मचारियों और स्थानीय नागरिकों से सीधे बातचीत की और उनकी चिंताओं और परिचालन संबंधी चुनौतियों को सुना।

 आयुक्त ने नगर निगम के अधिकारियों को एमएआरजी (शिकायत प्रबंधन और निवारण) एप्लिकेशन के माध्यम से प्राप्त शिकायतों को गंभीरता से लेने और नागरिकों द्वारा उठाए गए मुद्दों का तत्काल समाधान सुनिश्चित करने का निर्देश दिया।

 उन्होंने इस बात पर भी जोर दिया कि अधिकारियों और कर्मचारियों को सक्रिय रूप से काम करना चाहिए और व्यक्तिगत पहल करनी चाहिए।
