 Mumbai ACB arrests Mantralaya official for accepting bribe of ₹6.37 lakh 

Mumbai: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Mumbai has arrested a Class I officer posted at the Mantralaya for allegedly demanding and accepting a bribe of ₹6.37 lakh.

 According to the ACB, the complainant was authorized by the village sarpanch to oversee the approval of government funds for infrastructure development in his village.

 The officer had applied to the state government for approval of funds under minority welfare schemes for the development of village infrastructure and had been visiting the Mantralaya in this regard.

 To secure the approval of the government funds, public servant Vilas Lad, working as a section officer at the Mantralaya, allegedly demanded ₹6.37 lakh.

 However, the complainant did not want to bribe Lad, so he went to the ACB office on March 9 to file a complaint in this regard.

 During the investigation initiated on March 16, it was found that public servant Vilas Lad had demanded a bribe of Rs 6.37 lakh from the complainant in exchange for sanctioning the funds.Subsequently, on Sunday, the ACB laid a trap and caught Lad red-handed while accepting the bribe from the complainant in Kharghar, Navi Mumbai.As a result, a case has been registered against Lad under relevant sections of the Prevention of Corruption Act.

 मुंबई एसीबी ने 6.37 लाख रुपये की रिश्वत लेने के आरोप में मंत्रालय अधिकारी को गिरफ्तार किया 

मुंबई: भ्रष्टाचार विरोधी ब्यूरो (एसीबी) मुंबई ने मंत्रालय में तैनात प्रथम श्रेणी के एक अधिकारी को 6.37 लाख रुपये की रिश्वत मांगने और लेने के आरोप में गिरफ्तार किया है।

एसीबी के अनुसार, शिकायतकर्ता को गांव के सरपंच द्वारा अपने गांव में बुनियादी सुविधाओं के विकास के लिए सरकारी निधि की मंजूरी की निगरानी करने का अधिकार दिया गया था।

अधिकारी ने गांव के बुनियादी ढांचे के विकास के लिए अल्पसंख्यक कल्याण योजनाओं के तहत निधि स्वीकृत करने हेतु राज्य सरकार को आवेदन दिया था और इस संबंध में मंत्रालय जाया करते थे।

सरकारी निधि स्वीकृत कराने के लिए, मंत्रालय में अनुभाग अधिकारी के रूप में कार्यरत लोक सेवक विलास लाड ने कथित तौर पर 6.37 लाख रुपये की मांग की।

हालांकि, शिकायतकर्ता लाड को रिश्वत नहीं देना चाहता था, इसलिए उसने 9 मार्च को एसीबी कार्यालय में जाकर इस संबंध में शिकायत दर्ज कराई।

 16 मार्च को शुरू की गई जाँच के दौरान यह पाया गया कि लोक सेवक विलास लाड ने शिकायतकर्ता से धनराशि स्वीकृत करने के बदले 6.37 लाख रुपये की रिश्वत की मांग की थी।

इसके बाद, रविवार को एसीबी ने जाल बिछाया और लाड को नवी मुंबई के खारघर में शिकायतकर्ता से रिश्वत लेते हुए रंगे हाथों पकड़ा।परिणामस्वरूप, लाड के खिलाफ भ्रष्टाचार निवारण अधिनियम की संबंधित धारा के तहत मामला दर्ज किया गया है।
