Drug-Free Campaign Conducted by Sir JJ Marg Police After Friday Namaz

Mumbai: In a strong initiative against drug abuse, the Sir JJ Marg Police Station conducted a “Drug Free – Nasha Mukht” awareness campaign following Friday Namaz, urging citizens to actively participate in keeping their communities safe.

During the campaign, police officials appealed to the public to remain vigilant and report any instances of drug consumption or trafficking by dialing the emergency helpline 100.

Authorities assured citizens that their identity and phone numbers would remain strictly confidential, encouraging more people to come forward without fear.

The Police Emphasized their ongoing efforts to eradicate drug-related activities in the city, targeting harmful substances such as heroin, charas, ganja, cocaine, and mephedrone. Officers highlighted the devastating impact of drugs, stating that addiction not only harms individuals but also destroys families and futures.

“Drugs are not just chemicals; they are slow killers of dreams, health, and happiness,” officials said, stressing the importance of community cooperation in the fight against narcotics.

The campaign was led by Senior Police Inspector Rais Shaikh, along with API Kale, PSI Sande, PSI Kakade, and a dedicated team including PC Sonawane, ASI Solkar, and PC Takale.

Social activist Arafat Qureshi, founder member of AIMIM Mumbai, was also present and extended his support to the initiative, encouraging citizens to stand united against the menace of drugs.

The awareness drive reflects Mumbai Police’s continued commitment to building a safer, drug-free society through public participation and proactive enforcement.

मुंबई: नशाखोरी के खिलाफ एक सशक्त पहल के तहत, सर जेजे मार्ग पुलिस स्टेशन ने शुक्रवार की नमाज़ के बाद "नशामुक्त - नशामुक्त" जागरूकता अभियान चलाया, जिसमें नागरिकों से अपने समुदायों को सुरक्षित रखने में सक्रिय रूप से भाग लेने का आग्रह किया गया।

अभियान के दौरान, पुलिस अधिकारियों ने जनता से सतर्क रहने और किसी भी प्रकार के नशा सेवन या तस्करी की घटना की सूचना आपातकालीन हेल्पलाइन 100 पर डायल करके देने की अपील की।

अधिकारियों ने नागरिकों को आश्वासन दिया कि उनकी पहचान और फोन नंबर पूरी तरह गोपनीय रखे जाएंगे, जिससे अधिक से अधिक लोग बिना किसी डर के आगे आने के लिए प्रोत्साहित हों।

पुलिस ने शहर में नशा संबंधी गतिविधियों को खत्म करने के अपने निरंतर प्रयासों पर जोर दिया, जिसमें हेरोइन, चरस, गांजा, कोकीन और मेफेड्रोन जैसे हानिकारक पदार्थों को निशाना बनाया जा रहा है। अधिकारियों ने नशे के विनाशकारी प्रभाव को उजागर करते हुए कहा कि लत न केवल व्यक्तियों को नुकसान पहुंचाती है, बल्कि परिवारों और भविष्य को भी तबाह कर देती है।

  “नशीली दवाएं सिर्फ रसायन नहीं हैं; ये सपनों, स्वास्थ्य और खुशियों को धीरे-धीरे खत्म करने वाली हैं,” अधिकारियों ने मादक पदार्थों के खिलाफ लड़ाई में सामुदायिक सहयोग के महत्व पर जोर देते हुए कहा।

इस अभियान का नेतृत्व वरिष्ठ पुलिस निरीक्षक रईस शेख ने एपीआई काले, पीएसआई संदे, पीएसआई काकडे और पीसी सोनावाने, एएसआई सोलकर और पीसी टाकले सहित एक समर्पित टीम के साथ मिलकर किया।

सामाजिक कार्यकर्ता अराफत कुरैशी, जो एआईएमआईएम मुंबई के संस्थापक सदस्य हैं, भी उपस्थित थे और उन्होंने इस पहल को अपना समर्थन देते हुए नागरिकों को मादक पदार्थों के खतरे के खिलाफ एकजुट होने के लिए प्रोत्साहित किया।
