The grand inauguration ceremony of the ‘Mahalaxmi Saras 2026’ exhibition, which offers a glimpse of the art, culture, and hard work of rural Maharashtra in the city of Mumbai, was held today in an enthusiastic atmosphere at the MMRDA Ground, BKC, Bandra (East), at the auspicious hands of the Honorable Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.

Shiv Sena’s chief leader and Honorable Chief Minister Eknath Shinde also extended his best wishes for this exhibition. The government is consistently striving to empower women from rural areas, and under his guidance, there is a firm commitment to provide products made by women’s self-help groups not only access to state-level markets but also to national and international markets.

On this occasion, the Honorable Chief Minister visited various stalls at the exhibition and closely experienced the display of handicrafts, rural products, and entrepreneurship. While interacting with the women from self-help groups, the confidence, determination, and sense of self-reliance visible on their faces were truly inspiring.

It was emphasized that women’s empowerment is not just a slogan but a firm commitment, and continuous efforts are being made to bring it into reality through such initiatives.

On this occasion, Cabinet Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha, Minister Jaykumar Gore, Mumbai Mayor Ritu Tawde, along with several dignitaries and senior government officials, were present.

मुंबईच्या भूमीत ग्रामीण महाराष्ट्राच्या कलेचा, संस्कृतीचा आणि कष्टाचा दरवळ अनुभवायला मिळणाऱ्या ‘महालक्ष्मी सरस २०२६’ या भव्य प्रदर्शनाचा उद्घाटन सोहळा आज राज्याचे मुख्यमंत्री मा. ना. देवेंद्रजी फडणवीस साहेब यांच्या शुभहस्ते बीकेसी, वांद्रे (पूर्व) येथील एमएमआरडीए मैदानावर अत्यंत उत्साहपूर्ण वातावरणात संपन्न झाला.

शिवसेनेचे मुख्य नेते तथा मुख्यमंत्री मा. ना. एकनाथजी शिंदे साहेब यांनी देखील या प्रदर्शनास शुभेच्छा दिल्या. ग्रामीण भागातील माता-भगिनींना सक्षम करण्यासाठी शासन सातत्याने प्रयत्नशील असून त्यांच्या मार्गदर्शनाखाली महिला बचत गटांच्या उत्पादनांना केवळ राज्यस्तरावरच नव्हे, तर राष्ट्रीय व आंतरराष्ट्रीय बाजारपेठ मिळवून देण्याचा आमचा ठाम संकल्प आहे.

यावेळी मुख्यमंत्री महोदयांसमवेत प्रदर्शनातील विविध स्टॉल्सना भेट देत तेथील हस्तकला, ग्रामीण उत्पादने आणि उद्योजकतेचा आविष्कार जवळून अनुभवला. दरम्यान बचत गटातील महिलांशी संवाद साधताना त्यांच्या चेहऱ्यावर दिसणारा आत्मविश्वास, जिद्द आणि स्वावलंबनाची जाणीव अत्यंत प्रेरणादायी होती.

महिला सक्षमीकरण हे केवळ घोषवाक्य नसून तो आमचा दृढ ‘शब्द’ आहे, आणि अशा उपक्रमांच्या माध्यमातून तो प्रत्यक्षात उतरवण्याचा आमचा सातत्यपूर्ण प्रयत्न सुरू आहे, असे यावेळी स्पष्ट करण्यात आले.

याप्रसंगी कॅबिनेट मंत्री श्री. मंगल प्रभात लोढा, मंत्री श्री. जयकुमार गोरे, मुंबईच्या महापौर श्रीमती रितू तावडे तसेच अनेक मान्यवर आणि वरिष्ठ शासकीय अधिकारी उपस्थित होते.
