He then allegedly ordered 30,000 capsules and 50 kg of zinc phosphide online.  An official said he intended to kill 15,000 people with these pills. Police seized 14,900 poison-laden pills from him. A key finding in the case is that he traveled to Iran and Iraq 19 times in 2025. Zinc phosphide is often used as a rat poison and can be highly toxic to humans. Police are investigating whether Premji, who runs a paint manufacturing business in Pune, was part of an international conspiracy. Investigations have found numbers from Iran and Iraq on Fayaz Premji's phone. The investigation so far has revealed that these numbers belong to his mother and sister, who reportedly live in those countries.  He himself has visited Iran and Iraq several times. Based on Saeed's complaint, Byculla police registered an FIR under Section 123 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), 2023. This section provides for punishment for administering or administering any poisonous, sedative, intoxicating, or harmful drug. During questioning, Premji was unable to provide a satisfactory explanation for distributing the capsules. Police are also investigating whether he is mentally unstable.

पुलिस इस बात की जांच कर रही है कि क्या पुणे में पेंट बनाने का कारोबार करने वाला प्रेमजी किसी अंतरराष्ट्रीय साज़िश का हिस्सा था। जांच में फैयाज प्रेमजी के फोन पर ईरान और इराक के नंबर मिले थे। अब तक की जांच में पता चला है कि ये नंबर उसकी मां और बहन के हैं, जो कथित तौर पर उन देशों में रहती हैं। वह खुद कई बार ईराम और इराक जा चुका है।सईद की शिकायत के आधार पर, बायकुला पुलिस ने भारतीय न्याय संहिता (BNS), 2023 की धारा 123 के तहत FIR दर्ज की। इस धारा के तहत किसी को ज़हर, बेहोश करने वाली, नशीली या हानिकारक दवाएं देने या खिलाने पर सज़ा का प्रावधान है। पूछताछ के दौरान, प्रेमजी कैप्सूल बांटने के बारे में कोई संतोषजनक जवाब नहीं दे पाया। पुलिस यह भी पता लगा रही है कि क्या वह मानसिक रूप से अस्थिर है।
